The Santa Cruz Film Festival/Kuhn Family to Award under-18 film winner in 2005
The IV Annual Santa Cruz Film Festival is dedicating this year's film festival to Evan Kuhn. Evan
Kuhn died on February 5, 2005, from injuries he received in an automobile
accident in Monterey County. He was 21 years old.

The Sport of Filmmaking Comes To SCFF
Santa Cruz CA -- The Santa Cruz Film Festival May 5-13, 2005 is partnering
with Cinemasports (the Iron Chef of Filmmaking) May 7, 2005 at The
Attic at 831 Pacific Ave. in downtown Santa Cruz. Film making teams have 10
hours to complete a movie with a list of “ingredients” given to them at 9AM
that morning and will screen their 4 minute films that evening. These ingredients
will be used with teams from Sophia, Bulgaria; Frankfurt, Germany; London,
UK and Paris, France. Screening of finished movies starts on the 10th hour
- that very night. Movies made this morning screened tonight - hot and fresh.

CineMAH Presents An American Experience: The Donner Party
Santa Cruz, California -- The Museum of Art & History (MAH), in partnership
with the Santa Cruz Film Festival (SCFF), presents the third installment of
MAH's after-hours programming, CineMAH. CineMAH is held the first Thursday
of the month and offers yet another perspective on current exhibitions at
MAH. The April 7th event includes extended gallery viewing hours and a screening
of The Donner Party: American Experience, by filmmaker Ric Burns.

CineMAH Features International Award Winning Film
Santa Cruz, California -- The Museum of Art & History (MAH), in partnership
with the Santa Cruz Film Festival (SCFF), presents the second installment
of MAH's after-hours programming, CineMAH, a film event for the entire family.
CineMAH is held the first Thursday of the month and offers yet another perspective
on current exhibitions at MAH. The event includes extended gallery viewing
hours. The films featured on March 3, 2005, are Solo un Cargador (Porter)
by Peruvian filmmaker Juan Alejandro Ramirez and Sacred Game by Thor Anderson.
Both films compliment MAH's current exhibition Ancient Artists: Pre-Columbian
Art from the Mississippi Museum of Art on view through March 13, 2005.
